My paintings are quiet reflections on the sights of nature I have viewed in my travels around this country.  Similar to most painters, I have a fascination with light and shadows and how these two elements enrich a mood for a satisfying image.  I do observe all with a more critical eye and due to this I plan my ideas with future compositions in mind.

Skip Marsh is a Connecticut artist currently living in Thomaston, CT.
A lifelong artist, his realistic acrylic paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature in a wide range of subjects with a focus on lighting, depth and color and his attention to detail often brings out happy memories and emotions for his collectors.
"I paint things that make me happy"

"I paint intuitively with bright acrylics and mixed media. In 2025, my painting style evolved dramatically from realism to abstract. I have felt nothing but joy since making that change. Bright colors are my instinctual inspiration. The materials I have grown to paint intuitively with acrylic and mixed media. I choose bright colors and let them cover the surfaces."

I am a Senior student, at UConn Olli. I paint with acrylic on canvas.  I have shown my work at UConn and Woodbury Library Art Shows.

My work is narrative and from my imagination. I enjoy weaving relics of the past into my compositions by mark making or assemblage, sometimes using architectural salvage or other found objects of past purposes and former lives.  With these details I seek to capture fragments of a tale in a time and place that was, or is, or has the promise to become.

ShawnaLee’s studio, Portraits by ShawnaLee, offers high quality portraits of pets, homes, or children.  Her work is representational with a touch of impressionism.  Instruction is offered through local venues or privately. Popular class subjects include sketching pets, portraiture, or seasonally inspired watercolors.
