Fine Arts Portraitist and author, ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak, creates exquisite lifelike works that blend impressionism with contemporary realism.  “I love working in Charcoals or oil paints for creating portraits of cherished pets, loved family homes, and the fleeting moments of childhood.  I strive to capture the heart and soul of my subjects while working with high quality materials so that each portrait will last for generations to come. All of my work is done by hand with skills earned from a lifetime of dedication to the arts.”

ShawnaLee has received numerous grants and awards including CSOPA’s Susan Wakeen Fine Art Award, Richter Association for the Arts Award of Excellence,  Arts Alliance of Woodbury Grant and award for Best in Works on Paper and critical acclaim from noted Juror, David Dunlop, in the Mark Twain Library’s 52nd annual art show for her portrait of “Is this Sarah James Eddy?”:

“Sensitive and tender handling of materials—delicate, yet psychologically forceful and alluring with the ability to sustain the viewer’s attention. The artist has an intriguing ability to arouse curiosity in the subject.”  www.shawnalee.com
