Skip Marsh is a Connecticut artist currently living in Thomaston, CT

His realistic acrylic paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature in a wide range of subjects like mountains, waterfalls, birds, seascapes, old barns and dramatic scenery with a focus on lighting, depth and color and his attention to detail often brings out happy memories and emotions for his collectors.

Skip began drawing as a child and has been painting since he was a young teenager with numerous breaks due to work, kids and business. Mostly self-taught, he did take semi-private painting lessons as a young teenager from a local artist, initially painting in both watercolors and oils. He quickly transitioned to painting with acrylics and today that is his preferred medium.

He has had numerous solo shows since moving back to Connecticut and has won a number of awards for his work. On a personal note, Skip lives in Thomaston with his wife Laurie. They have been married for 47 years, have three children (two sons and a daughter) and 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 14!

His work is available through his website and on both his FB and Instagram pages.
