"RECENT WORKS”

The Arts Alliance of Woodbury is excited to announce our 3rd Members’ Invitational Exhibition this December in the Woodbury Public Library’s art gallery. This exhibition, is open to all AAW members and will be judged with five “Best in Show” awards with $200.00 cash prizes (totaling $1000.00.)

Registrations will be on a first come first accepted basis due to limited space. Please read below the details and key dates.

Details:

  1. Dates of Exhibition: December 4-30, 2021

*Opening Reception and award Ceremony: CORRECTION: Sunday, December 5, 2021, 2:00- 4:00 pm. (dependent upon covid status). All participating artists are urged to attend.

Deadline: November 15, 2021.

  1. Delivery date of accepted work: November 27-30, 2021. Deliver to library during normal business hours. Be sure to sign the receipt of work form in the library.

  2. There is no fee to enter, however members dues must be current for 2020. New members are welcome. [$20/household/calendar year, to become a member please see our MEMBERS PAGE]

  3. Send a JPEG of your work [for the catalogue and publicity] to michael@artsallianceofwoodbury.org. Be sure to label the JPEG as; Last Name, First Name, Title, Medium.

Example- Doe, John, Dawn, Drawing.

  1. Work is to have been created during past several years and not previously shown in the Woodbury Public library.

  2. One piece* of artwork per member. Size of entry is limited to a maximum size of 36” X 36”. Work must be ready to hang in frame with wire or hanging d-rings. Three dimensional work must be no larger the 7” deep X 30” wide and 30” high so it can fit on a window ledge. A label with artist’s name, title of work, medium, value, date created must be attached to back of work.

  3. Since gallery wall area is limited, acceptance will be on a first come first served basis.

  4. Sales: Any work over $250.00 sold during the exhibition will be subject to the standard Woodbury Public Library’s gallery rules and commission. [Currently 15%]

*If a member has a piece of art that can not be hung on the wall, or consists of several small pieces that are each ready to be hung and work as a single installation, and/ or requires special treatment, please send a photograph and description of your work including dimensions to michael@artsallianceofwoodbury.org for our exhibition panel to review and respond regarding the feasibility of inclusion in the exhibition.
