Musicians

I am a clarinetist, author and educator, and work at the nexus of the humanities and medicine. I teach medical students and ophthalmology residents how to observe art and listen to music, and how to transfer these observational skills into clinical diagnosis. As these students embrace and engage with the humanities, they become more empathic and compassionate healers.
