About the Event

Artists, musicians, poets and others will be on hand, offering demonstrations and works for sale, musical performances and spoken word along the east side of the road, from the Woodbury Library at 269 Main St. South to Studio Hill Gallery at 507 Main St. South.

Pop-up artists working in various genres will be set up between the two anchor venues, including a grouping on the Cannon Green. Early sign-ups include painters Skip Marsh, Cynthia Gillette, Dorothy Calio and Ray Mosser, potter Sharron Famiglietti and jewelry artisan Alina Budzynski.

Facing the green, the front porch at Madeline West Antiques will provide the stage for singer-songwriter Doug Mahard, performing from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., and traditional folksinger Mike Carbonneau from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Members of the Valley Chordsmen, an all-male, four-part a cappella chorus, will bring their barbershop-style music to this month’s event, beginning at 6 p.m. at Studio Hill and then strolling north with stops at Madeline West Antiques and the library lawn.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., area poets and writers will read from their works on the shaded patio behind the Studio Hill Gallery, where seating will be provided. Those scheduled to appear include Woodbury Poet Laureate Sandy Carlson, Elizabeth Kutepov, MayaRose Spoken Word, Rob Pawlikowsky and former Southbury First Selectman Ed Edelson.

The library’s gallery will be open that evening, featuring works from the private collection of award-winning Connecticut artist Anita Gregorski. Ms. Gregorski enjoys painting in oils, acrylics and watercolor and her works have been included in numerous prestigious shows. The artist will be present to greet visitors during the Arts Walk.

Visitors may begin their walk at either end of the extended venue. The Polar Sweets ice cream truck will be on hand.

Ample parking can be found at the town offices, at the Senior Community Center and along various side streets.
